The School of Pastry Design in Las Vegas is a truly unique venue for professional chefs and individuals to receive pastry training from World Champion Pastry Chef Chris Hanmer.  Distinctive in this industry, Chef Chris’s one-on-one classes provide students with the attention and opportunity to excel in their chosen subject – from basic pastry techniques to mastery of sugar showpieces and chocolate showpieces.  Chef Chris also works with small groups for industry level cooking techniques and continuing education for pastry chefs and industry veterans.

For the more casual pastry experience, Chef Chris offers chocolate tastings, chocolate parties, and light-hearted pastry programs for groups; a format that works especially well with vacation visitors to the Las Vegas area.

Biography of Pastry Chef Chris Hanmer

Chris Hanmer has made a steady progression from peeling potatoes at a country club at the age of 15 to claiming the gold medal as the youngest-ever American chef for a World Pastry Team Championship. His accolades include world class recognition and experience, and in 2006 he was honored to become the executive pastry chef for the Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas property.

Now Chef Chris is bringing his experience and dynamic cooking techniques to a beautiful studio kitchen in Las Vegas where students – professionals and non-professional alike – can spend time one-on-one or in small groups mastering the art of pastry design.
